President - Edward Gildeh
He's alright I s'pose is Mr Gildeh, a bit of a bore. In fact we don't really speak much... Hardly! My brother from another mother is handsome, approachable and most importantly, he's filled with fun so all you fresh girls just won't be able to resist... at least that's what he hopes! He's up for anything and open to new ideas, be it sport, music or lash but he has a particular penchant for dressing up as a girl! Yes, that's the way we roll at Peninsula! The ideas keep rolling when he's around and that really does make him the best man for the job! I can guarantee your first year really is going to be an amazing rollercoaster ride, so buckle up hold on tight, and let this man lead the way! - By R. Piggott |

Vice-President - Rebecca Piggott If I had to describe Becca in 3 words, i'd say quiet, shy and normal... I am of course talking out of my rectum (we're medics now, that's what we must use). I wasn't aware that Humans could make facial expressions that diverse, or noises that incredible! Actually, she occasionally comes back from work smelling of fish so being offensive to 3 out of the 5 senses ain't bad! Her talents don't stop there though, as she's also an incredible person and that's why she is your vice-president! You'll love her quirky attitude and she is so much fun to be around. And she's also very good at what she does and full of great ideas! So I have no problem in introducing you to Rebecca Piggott, my siste from another mister, and the person who is going to help ensure that the next year of your lives is unbelievable! - By E. Gildeh |

MedSoc Secretary - Chris Stone The Stone family name has been built upon years of secretarial experience. My mother, and hers before that, have dedicated their lives to this entrusted occupation. Time ahead are fraught with challenge; a dedicated secretary taking stance right behind every member of MedSoc, male or female, pounding away (on Microsoft Word) shall help steer us through another fantastic year! |

Treasurer - Laura Donaghy Hi, i'm Laura, your MedSoc treasurer for this year! My job is to keep an eye on the society finances - i.e. your money - and make sure it's put to good use on events, socials, sports and other fun stuff! I'll be pitching in with the rest of the committee to help run big events like Freshers Fortnight and the Winter Ball, and can be seen throughout the year frequenting the very reputable establishments of the Exeter social scene a few nights a week! My other responsibilities/hobbies include keeping the Publicity Officer out of the paths of flaming tar barrels and baking snacks for marathon MedSoc meetings! |

Social Officer - Charlie Greet "Baaaaaaaaabbbeeeeeeessssss!" You are guaranteed to hear the mating call of Charlie Greet in your Freshers Fortnight! MedSoc's very own semi-Chinese/English "Sir Bolt-a-lot" is definately the life and soul of the party... until he passes out somewhere in the croft (not necessarily his own room). Among his many talents, he is an avid hockey player, even if it is only to gaid LAD status in timepiece after the game! Whether it is 20 seconds or 4 hours, Charlie Greet is sure to give you a good time! - By K. Hopkins |

Social Officer - Katie Hopkins Katie will be your female Social Secretary for the upcoming year. Katie loves to party and will always be the first to the bar on a night out, normally cos she's trying it on with the barman! Her other interests include playing netball and chasing after rugby boys on a wednesday night in Timepiece. Jokes aside, Katie is a great girl and an incredible social sec. She is really keen to meet you all and show you a great time in Exeter! Both Katie and I really want to get some input from you guys for "fresh" ideas for next year. We have both had an amazing first year, and we hope we can make yours just as fantastic! - By C. Greet |

Activities Officer - Imogen Swart-Wilson Well, what can I say about Immie? This girl can talk for England, so watch out in Freshers week because once she gets started, there's no stopping her! In all seriousness, she's a bubbly, energetic person who is great fun to be around and i'm really looking forward to working with her over the next year! I'm sure that under her guidance, the pair of us will help make this coming year unforgettable! - By L. Smith |

Activities Officer - Laurie Smith If you like your meat with two veg, then you'll love Laurie, Peninsula's very own Cornish pastie! Once you get past his golden, rather buttery exterior, a warm an slightly salty meat-and-veg combo awaits you! Mr Smith's varied interests, from surfing to admiring fellow students nipple hair, have been known to get him into mischief in the past. However, this chappy can always be found somewhere on a night out, crimson-faced and full of Cornish goodness! - By I. Swart-Wilson |

Publicity Officer - Sephie Evans I'm not sure if this is a warning or a friendly introduction... I am your token Welshie on the committee this year and I will be publicising MedSoc and its events to you with all the energy an vigour of a small nun fleeing a penguin shoot! In all seriousness, everyone on the committee is chatty and friendly so pretty much promotethe events themselves. I have the cosiest job in the world. So, fancy dress on? MedSoc card in hand? Good, because this year promises to be awesome! |

Education Officer - Katie Flitney My name's Katie and I'm Education Officer for the year ahead. This year has been fantastic and I really want to stress how you can have an amazing social life alongside learning lots of anatomy, physiology etc. (Hint: doing both is the only way to be successful in either) Although coming to uni is a massive leap academically, I am here to hopefully ease that transition, as well as providing exciting 'school style' trips such as dissection days in London! I am also running a buddy system, so you lucky people will have some lovely 'parents' to welcome you and offer themselves as fountains of endless knowledge that the transistion into Year 2 has made them (we hope!) You can find out who your yummy mummy and funky father are before you arrive - feel free to ask them as many annoying questions as you like! Just drop me as email with your full name - and any othe queries you might have - and i'll give you the details you need! Looking forward to September and meeting all of you amazing freshers! |
